I bought a set of truck coils and brackets for my ls1 because I was told that there was no difference except the appearance of the coils themselves. My problem is that the drivers side bracket seems to be pushing into the purge solenoid thing on the drivers side of the intake behind the throttle body. They look the same, so I didn't think there was a left and a right. Are the truck and LS1 brackets spaced differently from the valve cover? Its not really a problem, I can do a little creative clearancing. Just wondering.

I was told that if you take the the coils and the harness, that it will swap. The truck coils don't hook up to the ls1 coil harness. They both plug into the engine harness though.

Ask Tom Kempf he put them on his car last week before the shootout, they seemed to work okay.

The actual plugs on the coils themselves are different, but if you have the truck coils WITH the coil pack harness, then that assembly will plug into the F-body engine harness. The white connector in the middle of the valve cover is the same on all applications.

Evap solenoid will no longer mount to intake manifold (again, just a clearance issue)
Brackets are definately different.
Wiring harness is different, and is not interchangeable.
It will plug into the PCM harness regardless though, but if you are using truck coils, you will need a truck coil harness.

Yeah i have the same issue with the purge valve, so how can we move this or delete? I was thinking if i ran rubber hose instead of the hard plastic line to the intake itselft then just moved the valve but wasnt sure if this had been attempted or not
