Default LS1 throttle

I'm still looking for an LS1 for my '69 Chev. P/U and understand I need an engine with a cable-controlled throttle for the TV control on the 700R4 trans. Several of the engines I've looked at are drive-by-wire. Can a drive-by-wire engine be converted to cable without a lot of trouble or should I just pass these up? Thanks.

You'll prolly get more replies in the conversion section. My 2 cents are as follows : look for a 5.3 with the trans that came with it. I have a built 700r4 behind my ls1, I had a very good tuner tune my car and it's my understanding the 700 isn't the best choice, it will work but not the best choice. The 460le works with the computer, where the 700r doesn't. Good luck

The Crank needs to be 24X, then use a 03-back PCM.
