Not sure what the angle is but it looks good so far with minimal cutting.

Accessories look great against the steering box.

Jesus, Im ready to see this thing finished. Definitely go TT, I think it will be way more fun. Not to mention, 1000+ hp shouldnt be too much trouble. Do you know what the car will weigh when its all done? This is gonna be awesome. When done right, the pro touring style looks better than anything else.

Looks good, I did the same treatment. Works even better if you can lay the parts in the sun to get warm first.

It hit 74 here yesterday! This am is heavy fog, supposed to be in the mid 60's.
I have also used the oven to warm parts, wife still does not know how the smell got into the kitchen.

I used to stick the parts in the Oven to get the wrinkle finish after spraying it.. but not recommened for you cooking oven.. That would get it done real quick.

Well I started the engine build...mocked it up since I can't install heads until the lifter trays show up in 2 days. I also found a issue that many others seem to have. Lower half of can bearings are showing copper...

If you have a dial bore gauge, check the ID of the bearings against the OD of the cam, check for runout and concentriciry. If it is within spec then you need to decide if you want to pound new bearings in. Not that hard to do. Or have Dale do it (DG).

So are you originally from here? I actually tried to call Dale before I saw this post...you mention Dale like you knew I knew him? Do I know you?

I'm hearing this is normal on these motors now...In fact one guy mentioned he saw copper on his new LS3 crate motor.

I lived in the area for 15 years and know Dale quite well. We did alot of parts purchasing together.

Parking brake cable was cut under car so decided to mount the 2011 clutch/master assembly there. Need to shorten pedal about 1.5"as well as adjust angle but it should get the job done for now.

Now that is an interesting way to add a third pedal! Love to know how this turns out.

Well a local Chevelle guy and I are going to upgrade the trunions on the stock LS rockers. Stock rockers with Comp trunions male for an excellent set of rockers. My stock rockers sure were loose! Add a big cam to them and I'm sure some of the needle bearings in that cup would be in my motor.

Took the stock ones apart in the bedroom...fiance appreciated it.

Only took me about 35 minutes to install all 16 trunions! Think I may do a few more sets to sell.

I planned to buy a set of rockers when I change cam and springs, but this might be a good alternative.

I really think stock set with Comp trunions is the way to go. I have a set of the standard LS1/2/6 that I'm going to upgrade and sell if that's the style you need. Might look into doing the upgrades to make a little project $$...
