That's the first thing I thought when I opened the box. My heart dropped... After some research, I found out that I have the correct intake. Something about b/c it's not fuel injected and not being the shape of the cathedral.

Nothing yet lol. It'll be some sort of off the shelf cable that will be modded for my application.

Got some stuff from TRZ today!!!

The axle came out gorgeous! Their work is seriously top notch. They installed Strange 35 spline axles w/ 3" studs, Strange spool, welded the axle tubes, cut off the 8.8" ends and welded on 9" ends, made brackets for the coil-overs, installed bracing on the axle tubes, installed aluminum spherical upper control arm bushings, and installed Strange brake caliper brackets so I can use my stock calipers. Whew, lots of work.

The axle now needs to be painted, but she looks pretty hott as is:

The gorgeous welds and spherical upper control arm bushings:

Axle tube bracing:

Strange axles and brake caliper mounts:

I also had them make me some upper and lower control arms. They are pieces of art in and of themselves:

My coil-overs should be here sometime next week and i'll get this all installed and finally have a roller again!

Coil-overs showed up today They seem like quality pieces. I can't wait to get them in and see if my 28" tires are going to fit with the fox body length shocks.

I ordered my turbo, got an amazing deal on some front accessories, and found an MSD 6010. I only need a few more things now.

Definetely watching this thread. I am about to start a near identical projectsince I blew my 2v up saturday. Just wondering, are you keeping the hydroboost setup for the brakes and steering? If so, how are you gonna mount the pump?

No i'm swapping them out for manual pieces. The headache just isn't worth it to me.

There is a company that mates the chevy power steering pump to the ford stuff. I'm listing it below:

Decided to get working on the car a little again. My rear axle was starting to rust from all of the bare metal so I sanded, primed and painted it. It looks pretty

Taped up:

Primed:

Braces primed:

And painted with all of the pretty stuff bolted back on. I tried installing it, but the LCA brackets on the housing have been tightened in and the TRZ arms won't fit. I was farrr too tired to bend them back out so that will be another day:

The nice USPS lady dropped off some stuff for me too:

My brand new 145 amp alternator and brand new water pump showed up as well. They aren't very exciting so I didn't take any pictures haha.

I'm hoping to get the rear axle in the car and set ride height tomorrow. I can't wait to have a roller again. After that, it's time to start fabbing the turbo kit up.

Ok so the rear is in. Kinda. It fought me quite a bit since the bushings for the control arms are made to such tight tolerances. My axle was used so the flanges were already bent in a smidge which made things difficult. It is in though and hanging from the car.

The bad: the special ordered Strange caliper brackets don't work for my big brakes I over looked this detail when I ordered so it's my bad. I'll go pick up some stock sized rotors tomorrow I guess. Anyone need a set of cobra/Mach 1 rear rotors? Lol

Well she finally rolls again!!

I put my grinder to good use on the rotors and got them to fit correctly. Everything then bolted up just like it should. The Strange brackets for the stock calipers are really nice units! Yes I know the calipers and brackets are ugly. I'll paint them again someday.

I then brought my CCW's out of my bedroom and bolted them onto the car for the first time and set ride height. I had a perma-smile on my face after they were bolted on and I stepped back.

Time to start fabbing the turbo kit up.
