Default 02 Firebird 5.3L - Need Oilpan Advice...

I was looking at this...
http://www.superchevyperformance.com...p/19212593.htm

Can I use this?

If not, if I do get the F-Body oilpan and pickup, can I use the 5.3L Windage tray?

Get a LS1 F-body one, and cut down the Windage Tray.

The H3 one will hand below the cradle.

Nice link too, you would think that there would be enough QA to spell check.

If you get the f-body oil pan, you might be one of the lucky ones to get a freak one

The standard f-body oil filter wouldn't thread onto mine, but I got the Hummer oil filter to spin on tight.

Okay. Btw what did you mean by the spell check comment? I didn't get it.

Saw your 4.8 swap, that is intense... how much power are you expecting from the cam? any headwork done? I know 4.8's stock are right around 270 HP so LT1 territory..

I was curious cuzz if I could get 400 HP N/A while being streetable with a 4.8 I might go that route instead.

I have a new windage tray...$20

Also, I may be willing to part with...Going to look more into the comparison between the CTS-V pan and the F-Body for my Chevelle. Either way I plan to trim the rear of crossmember for good clearance.

lol the irony, you're the guy helping me do my swap - but thanks... I ordered the windage tray as well as my oil pan & pickup.
