Gauges I havent seen too much on this..
What aftermarket Gauges have some of you all found to work with the LS PCM?
Volt is pretty much universal, Oil is resistance off of the Sensor, not sure if that is universal. I know the 1998 Sensor has the extra wire for the Gauges..dont know the resistance on that one.
Anyone find a setup and specs of some Gauges that will work..possibly a kit?

What are you swapping into and do you want to use the factory gauges or just go aftermarket?
I've been able to make the factory gauges (oil, volts, temp, tach, speedo) work in 3 swaps so far.

Ive gotten the stock cluster to work in quite a few cars.
I want to install something fully Electronic into my 1984 MCSS, I had a cluster from a 1995 Z28, I didnt like the look of how I had it mounted so my goal is to find something that will fit in the stock Gauge Bezel from the MCSS. I was lookin into some Autometer Gauges, or something similar, and that so far isnt anything that is direct wire-in.
I'm starting to look along the lines of a mid 90's S10, something like that, and making it work. I have no need for a Tach, I have an aftermarket one, but I'll need the GM Fuel, Water, Oil, Temp, and Speedo, all of which are currently wired in the dash of my car cause of the 1995 Gauges.

Not necessarily..I'm still wiring everything Analog since the car is pre-1998, makes it easier. 1998 is a oddball year, analog, but Fuel System is different. 1999-up is serial data. I can wire it but right now since the car is already setup for a pre-98 it's smarter to go that route.

If you don't mind saving your pennies Dakota has two different clusters for our cars. I have the digital and they just released an electronic analog, which I really wish I could trade mine for.

I went with speedhut gauges for my 64 chevelle. I ordered gauges that were the same size as the openings in the original bezel and simply removed the stock gauges and "fit" the speedhut gauges to the original dash openings. Turned out better than expected and looks great.

We have found that most aftermarket gages work with the speedometer and tachometer in Gen III swaps. The Gen IV stuff starts to get tricky but there are settings in HP Tuners that can help get the right readings.
Also, for what its worth, I have been told that the F-Body cluster will almost bolt right into a fox body Mustang dash. We now have the pigtails for tying a swap harness into that gage cluster (in any car, not just the Mustang).

I think the problem he is having much like myself during the swap was how small the G-body clusters are. Nobody makes single gauges as small as the originals, and you can only fit 2 accessory gauges along with a small tach and speedometer in the original cluster housing.
I have a custom autometer setup in my 86 El Camino. I agree though that the space is rather small, I could only fit a Tach, Speedo and Fuel Gage. Water Temp and Oil Pressure are going on the pillar.
