swap help Hey guys i need some help i have a 80 trans am and im trying to do a ls1 swap in it i already have the ls1 with a t56 what else would i need i know i need headers an stuff like that will i need fuel lines ects... And if is possible is there like amd adapter or something the can make all my original gauges work THANKS FOR THE HELP... Any websites
boy.. try researching some of the project thread here in the Conversion / Hybrid forum.
but you will need engine mounts or adapters, exhaust Manifold/headers, upgraded fuel system to handle the required fuel pressure (58psi), a custom/converted wiring harness, PCM/ECM reprogramed, Drive shaft mod'd, Hyd clutch setup for your pedals, Radiator fans.. but that is a start. go ahead and ask question in smaller area or question to get better answers.. we don't have time to posted a complete swap manuals..
And the major areas to research.. the Oil pan and Mounts.
