adjustable alternator bracket
Im swapping a 5.3 into my 70 nova and I want to run the alternator drivers side low. Does anyone make an adjustable bracket for this area? I've see one but it was only for the 6.0 block. Im ditching the water pump for a remote setup so ill only be running the alternator, will I even be able to find a serpentine belt that short?

The belt number tells you the length. Gatorback 4060290 is the shortest 6 rib belt summit carries. The "60" says it is a 6 rib belt while the "290" says it is 29.0 inches. The lengths go up from there sometimes in half inch increments.
If 29 inches is still too long then look into some way to run a tensioner. I prefer having a spring loaded tensioner anyway.

Thanks I did think about solid mounting the alternator and making a bracket to hold the stock tensioner also. Will the bolts in the timing cover be strong eniught to hold the tensioner?

Where can I find info on the remote water pump setup, never heard of it. I'm doing 6.0 in foxbody and need to take care of this same issue. Just need to run alternator and water pump
