71 Camaro LQ9/LS3
Pretty new here, just wanted to get on here and start with the 'before' pics. Current motor trans is a 327/350HP from a 66 Vette, 11" converter, and a TH350, full manual valve body. All is currently for sale($1750 obo). The new motor/trans will be a LQ9 with LS3 heads, intake and Wilson 90mm TB. Will be adding A/C. Need help with all accessories/sensors (motor was bare), oil pan to use, fuel lines to run and bracketry/ motor mounts. Thinking about Dyna-Terch headers, Pypes exhaust, Patriot valve spring kit. Dont have anyyhing ordered yet, but withh within the next week. Trans will be a 4l60E. rear is an 8.5 10 bolt, currently housing 4.56, but ordering 3.73s. Nitto NT-555Rs are already on the rear so.....

Welcome to the board. Alot of great/ VERY knowledgable people on here. Your car looks sweet. What size wheels/tires are you running? Any better shots show clearance on the rear tires?
thanks,
Jim

15x4 in the front and 15x8 in the rear. I have to sort out the rear suspension. He last owner is using some shocks with load handling springs on them and some other stuff that doesn't look right. depending how long i keep it, i will do a C5 Vette brake conversion, lower it, and 17-18" rims.

Just a word of advice from a fellow 2nd gen owner who did an LS swap.
I'd go with the T-56 6 speed manual > 4L60e especially with the 3.73 rear.
The T-56 is going to net you a hell of alot better MPG then the Automatic will.
Amazingly enough now that logic is reversed with the newer 5th gens.
Oil Pan = I put a GTO LS1 in mine and used the F-body pan myself.
Fuel lines = The modern style OEM polymer fuel lines are cheap and VERY easy to work with.
All domestic manufacturers use it now.
Here's a database of people's info on Nastyz28 we started.
I did mine in 2006 so mind you my info is 6 years old and some is quite dated.

Thanks for the advise... An automatic is a whole lot cheaper at this point, and its a weekend car, so i don't think fuel mileage is a big concern right now (doesn't mean it wont be later).
Got the dash out, in order to get one with the A/C opening in it. Going with Vintage air, I believe.
Anyone with a F-body oil pan setup?? Accessory drive setup??
Where do i get the fuel line from?? Thinking about the Sprectra tank...any opinions??

I went to put an ad in the WTB section and I couldn't. Same with responding to ads in the For Sale area as well. How long before I can. I'd like to purchase parts on the site but i currently cannot.
Thanks
