Awesome numbers ! That's the area I'm hoping for with my build. Did you use LS6 pushrods too ? How much boost got you those number's ? What size injectors ?

I'm sure once you get a LS6 intake manifold or better on there those numbers will soar!

i did use ls6 push rods but they wasnt the right length so i took them out and got another set from comp that was. 17 psi or so was the boost..

and i am officially the record holder, i went a bunch of 9.3 passes in street trim over the last week. 9.350 at 148 was my best. video is on youtube if you search my channel.

I'm doing a similar build as well. Mine is in a 1993 240sx, our weight is dead on each other. My 4.8 is a gen 3 block with gen 4 rods and pistons, and arp studs throughout. I am using a set of stock 243s as well as a z06 camshaft. Mine will be a 6spd.

Funny, I was googling some fuel tank info for the 77 280Z I bought a couple months ago and this thread came up. AWESOME build! I kinda cringed at some of the things that were done, but hell .. I bought that car back in 02/03 timeframe to cut it up myself .. just not to that extent .. lol ..

I sold it to Steven in the fall of 07 before I had to move to Hawaii and he always kept me posted as to what he was doing with it and I was impressed. Glad to see you're taking it that next step further!

If you want some old pics of the car from the time frame I had it, let me know

Circa 2004 ish

What were your shift points? Max rpm thru traps?

Can't believe this thing made it in the 8's! Currently running similar weight setup with a 5.3. Just getting it ironed out. Found a 2005 4.8 for $300 bucks. Think I may jump on it for a back up motor.
