I posted this on my build page, but no response yet, hoping for answer here.

The LS3 valley cover has some sort of vacuum port (pic in link above) that my stock truck valley cover doesn't have. Do I need to use the LS3 valley cover? What have others done?

SLP has the LS3 valley covers for about $16 plus shipping. Left overs from supercharger swaps

I have an ly6 with ls3 intake, and I used my valley cover from the ly6. Im not sure what that port is in that pic from the link. You do not need the ls3 cover.

That port is the PCV connetction on the LS3.

Thats correct you dont need the LS3 valley cover. I did they same swap on my LY6.
