Ah ok. The reason I ask that is in response to the $400 Trans box.

For $400 you can have a Harness, PCM, and the credits to tune it.

Then again that is if you do all the work and wire it, and have the tuning software.

I had the day off so I was running around looking for transmissions & I found a couple of them. One was a 2WD from a Tahoe with a 4.8 & the other was in a 2WD 2002 Tahoe with a 5.3 in it. Will the 5.3 trans work fine with mt 2002 Sierra engine? What about a tranny that came behind a 4.8? Are they the same & will that one work?

If you decide you would like a built 4L60e let me know. I'll work up a quote for you.

I have a question. I’m doing a 03 5.3 carb swap. With a 4l60e transmission. What wires can I get rid of from the harness that is going to the 5.3 pcm. I got the motor and trans with a complete harness and pcm but it went into vats mode which is why I’m doing a carb swap

A very simple tune will turn off the VATS stuff but if you don't know that by now given in the last 20 years the tools have been out there to turn it off yea the computer stuff isn't for you.
