I just installed my 99 f body LS1 without a/c only issue i had was the alternator. It sits low on the drivers side and interferes with the motor mount plates/factory clamshells. I found a kit on speedway motors which places the alt up and power steering cap 1.75in higher then the TB. I installed the hood and it measures at 3.5in which gives it a good chance of fitting. Only thing i have to do now is install the trans, so i can establish the proper pinion angle and then measure again and see ho much clearance i have then between the TB and hood. if it works then i'm ordering it..
