What are you guys doing for the cold air intakes on your swaps? I like the k and n look. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Don't know if this helps, it's in a 240sx, I've since painted it black and built a splashield around it

 

Type in cold air intake and there are a few threads with pictures. I have a few pictures as well posted. Most I have seen aren't true cold air but just intakes.

 

I think there is a few thread already started asking for the same... But as stated, most are just Tubes with filters on them for intake.. they need be isolated to outside/cold air to be really a CAI's

 

I know this isn't true cold air, but it was a freebie I got out of a Challenger SRT8 at work. It works untill I get my turbos on.

Ive tried a search but it all comes up pretty vague showing mostly newer car setups. The ones of you that have built your own, where did you get all of the pieces to with them together?

I got my rubber elbow and alum tubing from Jags that Run.. If you google the item, you will find a few hit on tubing, elbow, etc for Rubber, alum, steel and other types. But take a look at the suggested ones above.

 

You can also find silicone couplers and reducers in various shapes and sizes on EBay. I am in the process of making a CAI for my Studebaker by going over the top of the radiator and putting the air filter out in front of it. Once I have it done, I will post pictures. I just ordered a Vararam air duct that looks like it will work pretty well. We'll see.
