I have a LS1/4L60E in mine, stock stall & gear. Runs hard and is fun as hell.

Me personally I wouldn't want a T56 in a light truck...

I drove my friends 96 S10 with a ls1, eps cam and t56. Made 380 at eps. It was a blast. Because I had to drive the truck to go get it tuned, I am building one myself. 2000 Sonoma 5.3 with p&p 243s milled 30, ls6 intake, brp longtube headers, t56, etc. makes a great dd. hope to be done with mine by July/August.

i'm not really wantin anything that would be like a racer, just an s10 with a little more power than the 4's and 6's they had in em. i'm just wanting some power to mess around with, and was wanting a stick so it'd be easier to build, and plus i like drivin stick. i was wanting to get a t56 to put in my firebird, but prolly won't get into that til next summer when i got a little more time and money

i'm actually a little more interested in building a dakota, but would want to put either an old style 340-6 or a real modern efi hemi like at right derr!! that'd be the asphalt eater i'd wanna build, but if i do build an s10, it'll just look mean, but only turn out to be a 4.8

guys, i found a standard transmission i think i might wanna use in it. It's an aluminum case, and it had a newer looking sticker on it, that said muncie and the numbers and what not. can't figure out what kinda muncie it is, but it looked like a more modern trans, thinking it might be a sm-465 from like a nineties truck. it was shifting but couldnt figure out how many gears it had i'll get some pics of it and let you guys look at it, maybe someone will know what it is

Muncie would most likely be a 4-speed

I wanted overdrive so I went with 60e. Now I'm going to have to build the 60e up to handle my future plans. When I should of just kept my built th350 and called it a day. Or just built a 700r4. But there is a bunch of possibilities.
