The diff has never been a problem, its the output stub shafts that break. My car is an original TT so it is the r230 rear end. With the exception of Leader 4.10 rear end gears, the rear end hasnt been touched in my Z

Why would I do that?

The R230 is the diff that Nissan makes, and the diff isnt the issue anyways. The issue is the output shafts (which the R230's output shafts are the largest made as well)

Well here we are almost a month later, been making good progress on a lot of little ticket items.

Purchased and installed some 60# injectors and vacuum block mounted, and plumbed

I was faced with an issue trying to get an intake air temp sensor installed. The factory sensor uses a clip in style plastic connector and I have no provision for that. So, I welded in an aluminum bung in the lower IC pipe and installed an AEM IAT. I then recalibrated it within the tune

Got a smokin-deal on some KYB GR2's and an Eibach spring setup

Installed

It doesnt sit too much lower, but it rides significantly better. I am not looking for that "slammed" look anyways

I then moved on to converting the car over to 5-lug hubs

Tonight I finished up the 5-lug and tossed my 300ZX slicks on it

Nice... hopefully everything goes good on the tune. Did you end up using different guages or somehow figure out mph and rpms from stock cluster? Figure if you can do it on s13 i can figure it out on z32 lol

The tach literally hooks right up. There is one wire coming from the PCM with tach signal. Hook that up to the tach wire on the cluster - good to go. Mine has been working perfectly for a few weeks.

The speedo is not yet working on the cluster. I have correct vehicle speed reading into the PCM however. I have just not had the time to go through the Dakota Digital documentation but there shouldn't be any reason why it cant work.

This build is damned AMAZING...

Thanks... you've got me walking around the ship doing budget calculations in my head, trying to figure out how long it'd take me to save up enough to do a build.

Made it to the dyno today. All in all, everything went well, but there is some speculation about the numbers. The dyno was rented out previously and we are wondering if some settings we're not familiar with were changed.

The baseline pull barely made 260rwhp (Enough to cause speculation), and after we got the car squared away it made 390rwhp/440rwtq @ 10psi on pump gas. The way the speed comes up on the dyno, and the fact that this thing absolutely rips on the street have me wondering about the numbers....I drove it around tonight and its spinning the ET Streets all the way through 1st, 2nd, and some of 3rd.

Like I said, there is some speculation. I'm going to do my due dilligence and go back over the car and check the plugs, compression check, etc just to make sure everything is in line. Like I said before, with the boost and timing we're throwing at it, the numbers are questionable

That being said, I went out and had some fun in it tonight and the car is a damned riot. I've been cruising around on ET Streets and its still spinning them.

Just got to see the videos finally. That car looks like a blast to drive. Something I am sure most of us would get into a lot of trouble in. lol

I have been taking this car on, at the least, a 5 minute drive every day just because it gets such great smiles-per-gallon, lol

My other car makes ~800rwhp but it is a really peaky powerband, and weighs 1000lbs more. This thing just gets it in all rpm ranges
