Here are a few pics of the turbo kit progress thus far. After all of this stuff is done Fathouse Fabrications will be doing the cage as well.

UPDATE: Biggest change to the plan is that we are going with a A/W intercooler (PT1500) - it wouldn't be worth the trouble to mount a huge 5"+ core A/A that probably wouldn't work as well as the A/W, unless we ran the turbo up high and sideways which was out of the question. This means I'll also be selling this ported FAST LSX 90mm intake (posting it in the classifieds here in a minute!) and buying an EFI Victor Jr. That way we can point the elbow towards the fender or back through the firewall to make the A/W IC routing more linear. We have our custom cam done, but I don't have the cam card with me or I would post the specs, heh. We went with FIC 2150cc injectors (running E85) since Fathouse Fab carries them in stock and have had good experience with them and they are a bit cheaper than the ID's we had originally spec'd out.

Still up in the air at this point, but most likely we will be going with AEM Infinity EMS - after seeing what it can do (crazy resolution/sampling, logging like none other, and programming options to name a few things) I'm pretty much sold.

More pics of progress as stuff gets done at the shop

Getting to the underside of those last two will be a pain. Do you just increase stickout?

Looks like it. If you look at the 2nd from the bottom picture in post 42, it shows a nice smooth inside. My guess would be either purge or flux on the inside.

The collector is a double slip fit, so those tubes slide in and out. I will weld the other runners off the collector.

I do run a large gas lense though.

A lot.

Really though, not including all the one-off-top-notch fab work or materials or intercooler - around $3650 for the turbo, wastegate, and BOV. Much, much more than that has gone into the whole kit, but not going to share that info publicly as every turbo kit build is different and likewise prices vary.

Holy crap! Always wondered what happened to the infamous Slow6.0. There's a winter bench racing thread on CSS now, you should post up LOL. Build is looking great. I'm in the middle of making the change to an LS as well.

It's to stop an exhaust wheel from exiting the turbo, and messing up the down pipe, or ever worse, flying out and injuring someone.
