Someone tell me what a Corvette cooling fan PWM module is...

Doesn't the gmpp control have the variable speed function built in? I've only been running mine a week butim pretty sure the speed is variable and I was able to force low/high on with HP tuners. Dan

Scot- you are correct, 1 speed only. I flipped between low/high during the startup of the motor and didn't even notice it was all the same.
So, back to the top... any way to make the control the fan speed better?

Scot, FYI, it looks like HP tuners or EFI Live won't change the program tables for th fan relay on the gmpp harness, so the fans can't be turned on until ~203 degrees. So while researching, I found this, might be a good option, although it does require a 20-25 degree split between the low and high settings. Might be ok though with a 170/175 low and 190/195 high set points. (for a 160 thermostat)

I saw that one from Spal, there is also one from Painless wiring I saw that also has speed sensor input. So if going over x mph, the fans are shut off & air from moving forward goes through the radiator. Also, a fellow gearhead close to me said that Ed Hutchins is working on getting the GMPP controller to work with the PWM fan setup as well as he is working on a cruise control setup for the GMPP controller too. I haven't confirmed this yet.

Excellent, keep us posted on what you find.
On the cruise, there is a kit made already, $499 when I called to check, http://spankysrodshop.net/

I noticed the gmpp "vss" setting is defaulted at 40 pulses per rev and it should be 17 according to Tremec. 50mph on my speedo is 20mph on the computer. I hate to waste 2 credits on hp tuners to activate it and change the vss though. (since I can not get the fan setting down either)

Forgot about this thread, have been having the same conversation over on Lat-G:
http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=40215
I have my E67 GMPP controller wired up with the single wire to the PWM module, and a 3 wire circuit to the AC pressure switch, supposedly this is all that is needed for the PWM fan control setup. Ed Hutchins said the GMPP controller can be programmed to control it too. So (one of these days) I will get it running & get it to him to program all this up. I have to order/buy the Corvette fan/module setup & install on my radiator.
