Default 1955 Chevy Convertible. Hot Rod Power Tour

So we stayed up till 5:30 this morning getting her ready for the power tour. It was a tall order and we didnt make it all the way so we threw her on the trailer and had a ball today in Stillwater OK.

The floors were a little weak so this seemed like a fun way to celebrate the "Rat Roddeness?"

Default 1955 Chevy Convertible LS2 rat rod project update

Ok guys, I've been on break for a month or so and it's time to get back going again. I really need some help on the rim choices. I've sort of narrowed it down to 2 choices. 18"x8 fronts and 20"x9's in the back (it's just a little too tight for 10's although they will have a deep offset w the narrowed 9").

My first choice was: Intro wheels, twisted vista II design.
I went to a local shop who will order rims and guarantee fit (a major plus in my book). They can get Foose but not the Intro. I liked the Foose "coupe" design. Apparently they are new for this year.

Suggestions and feedback from you guys? I do not want to look like everyone else!

Intro Twisted Vista: www.introwheels.com (exposed 5 series)

Hers are the new Foose Coupe wheels.

Thanks for the input!!

Here are a couple trying rims on for back spacing. I'm not a huge fan of these Foose wheels. I think they are called Legend?

You can't go wrong with 5 spokes on a shoebox. You looked at Coy's?

I agree with that ^.
If you wanna be different (and can afford them) the Rushforths would be nice.
A little crude but you get the idea

Wow, I'm blown away! Very impressive and exciting to see.

Wheel prices are important but wheels are arguably the most important part of the car. The wheels just have to be correct so I'm willing to pay a price for perfection and to be different.

I'm also more of a 5 spoke kind of guy. Billet but would consider gray center.

Here are some choices I was personally thinking of. Besides the Intro wheels and the Foose Coupe wheels. It just has to look close to perfect to pull this off.

I'm lookin at 275/40ZR20's for the back
245/45ZR18's for the front
BF Goodrich Comp 2 tires seem to be the front runner.

Guys, your input is important as I'd like to make the wheel decision this week.

Here are some choices:

Boyd Coddington
www.hotrodsbyboyd.com
Signature series: Tri-Five design
Gotcha Series: Twisted Two Tone

Torq II's are everywhere (but they look good) and same w/ Boss 338's. These designs are out.

Fikse FM/5's are sort of old school but could possibly look nice.
www.fikse.com
Classic Series - FM/5

Foose Coupe's I like but haven't looked at a set in person yet.

Intro Wheels: Vista or Twisted Vista's.

Others?

Are you on pro-touring.com or lateral-g? So many more nice wheels out there, this car deserves something awesome! Not a fan of Foose wheels, love his work, not his wheels... If ur not on there check it out!

Of your choices, I like the Vista's the best. Not a big fan of Foose wheels. But if it were my car, it would probably get Billet Specalities Vintec's, but that's just me. Very cool car by the way! And as was asked earlier, how does one go about finding something like this????

Default 1955 convertible Rat Rod LSX update

Well, it's been several months and we have progressed along quite nicely w the project. The floors weren't bad but w the horsepower I was afraid of twisting the body. So, one thing led to another and before you know it a frame off resto was on the way while working to keep the paint original. Boy was that tough but it's turning out relatively nice but very expensive!

Some progress pics.
