i may have missed it, but with the H3 pan, did you have to notch the cross member? also, is there a picture of the oil pan to cross member clearance?

no cutting required. the pan hangs about 1/2" below the cross member.

this turd is still in progress. getting close(ish) though. lots of stuff finished and installed now.

installed spring sliders
QA1 coil overs installed up front
transmission lines/cooler finished
throttle cable/linkage is done
fuel cell is strapped down
battery is relocated to the bed next to the fuel cell
tubular upper and lower c-arms
tint
and a bunch of dumb misc **** that is driving me nuts. tps sensor, evap junk/fittings...im about sick and ******* tired of fittings

still needs brake lines, driveshaft and 8.8 rear end. also needs TCU to be hooked up and a fender well installed.

oh and that horrible looking booster needs some paint.

the cleaner doesnt sit as high anymore.

Please look for a 2wd 8.5 s10 rear rather than a 8.8! Nice build don't jack it up with a ford rear now! Thanks! ~

3k at 58mph? what transmission are you runing? i have an 8.8 rear end sitting in the corner waiting for some mods. 4.10 gears behind a 4l60e wont be bad. should put me right around 2200 rpm at 70mph.

8.8 is stronger and cheaper. i searched for an 8.5 for about 2 months. couldnt find one...and the ones i saw that sold were 4-500. then id need to buy a posi and gears for it. i got my 8.8 for 400 with 4.10 gears, a posi, disk brakes and it's stronger. there is no changing my mind at this point. the wheels are already offset for a cut 8.8 rear end. i had to add 1" spacers to the 7.5 to get these wheels to mount. otherwise they were stuffed into the frame.

the 8.8 is in. narrowed, welded tubes, new races, bearings adn seals. driveshaft is built. 3150 all the way around. backed it out of my garage and back into the garage about 15 times now still need to install the transmission controller, but i couldnt resist.

here is the final stance after some qa1 coilovers up front and the 8.8/slider install out back.

and a video of idle/rev....then me getting a little excited

for some reason i can't get into the mood to installe the transmission controller.

thanks. wish it was finished already. i went under the knife for some back surgery and havent touched the truck at all other than pulling off the carb and selling it. going with a larger carb if i can scratch the funds together. the Dr released me to start light work in the gym in 2 more weeks, so i figure that means i can do light work on the truck!
