Hey guys I was working on my motor today and pulled off my old pan. The motor is from a 01 Chevy Silverado. It had this sensor in the oil pan but my GM muscle/H3 pan does not have provisions for this sensor. Can someone please point me in the right direction.....

Its the oil level sensor its not need just remove the wires form harness and delete it in the PCM.

Awesome I kinda figured that's what it was for.... So the newer motors dont have any level sensor anymore?

FYI, if you want to get rid of that sensor body, you can replace it with a M20-1.5 oil pan plug. I am running a carb on my conversion so obviously not using the level sensor. I was able to get the a hex head plug at my local parts store for $4.

my plug i did . modifyed for 1/8th pipe thread oil temp sender.

yep about 4 bucks and included gasket also .

drilled / tapped out and last overdrilled 1/2 way down for oil on sensor room.
