whipped up a firewall block off plate today .
made it to bolt on since I don't have a clean a/c unit to install. and for now if I need heat I will install the summit unit for under 200 bucks .
but here is the basics of my plate.
few bead rolls to stiffin up the plate and give it some good looks .
also welded on the little bolts to the plate.
it will be getting a gasket around the unit before install.

dam I am sleepy
late night but we got FILLER PRIMER
looks real good only few small dents or feather edge out from filler work .
also got filler primer on the rest of the main parts . had to do little bit on door edge's . you could see the factory spot welds on the edge. otherwise ready to go .

well still going slowly but surly .
we didn't like the first round of paint on the box . wasn't the paint it was tiny stuff under it . 1 more block sanding would of got it if we could of redone it . so we wet sanded the whole box down and reshot it . now its a lot better .
then we shot the inside of the box and turned the psi of the gun down just over 1/2 and textured the bed floor to help make it look cleaner and cover up all the paint chips from the box's former work truck life it had .
cab was finished and full sprayed . fenders and doors back sides sprayed also .
now to get ready for assembly and get the hood/ front side of doors - fenders / t-gate / grill filler panel / wipe cowl panel / few other little ods n ends done .
then when all done and gapped and ready will tape off and wet sand / block out the area's to be sprayed white for the 2 tone .

door handles were getting bad and I figured try something different so blasted and painted them body color .
last pic is 4wd taller lower air valence minus tow hook holes to give the truck a lower look .

she has a lot of dust on her from long term storage but the last project is now running and driving so i had to free up a parking spot for it and now this one is back in the center of the shop and about to get some long deserved attention . other things such as life and work have also played a delay factor in its completion .
looking to buy a LS swap harness for the 5.3 and 4l60-e combo and just make it bolt and go faster . who has a good kit these days and also need my computer flashed .
thanks for any tips and places to use or avoid . cant wait to be done with it .

I have a Speartech harness and reallly like them. They are always there for questions and have a stellar rep. PSI have a great rep too. I believe PSI is a little cheaper in costs. I wouldn’t hesitate on either vendor.
im sure others will post opinions of their favorite supplier
