LS1 into 89 Blazer
The main thing I'm really wondering about is the tranny can the 700r4 be made to mount to the ls1 style motor? Otherwise I have to take into consideration the tranny\transfer case.
I am leaning towards the LT1 because I am fairly familiar with them and it would be a relatively easy swap. I like the LS1 because this is my daily driver and the gas mileage and smoothness of the more is a BIG plus.
I'm still in the planning stages the TBI motor is running decent now but its getting up there in miles and 200hp\300tq and 12 mpg or whatever it is, is pretty pathetic

Ended up putting a T56 it it!Thats how I know an LT1 is an easy swap.. I know the LS1 LT1 T56's are different and I thought it was because of the bell houseing and hydralics.. But your right is a 400 fits a 700r4 would fit too.....
