Default Ls swap ac help

I am in the middle of a ls swap.... I want Ac need Ac... I have a 1994 stepside. Want to know can I use the Ac system from the 94... By just installing one of those dirty dingo hi mount compressor brackets or a Holley ac bracket ... Any help would be appreciated thanks. Even some examples or other ways to go

My plan to use one of those brackets and all the line and condenser from the 1994 truck while using the stock 1994 ecu to control the ac unit this to me would be the easiest way do you guys see any flaws with this plan

Looking at the diagrams for the 94 truck vs the 99-02 fbody, it seems you only need the clutch status input from the 94 pcm changed to the clutch status input on the LS pcm. The rest of the truck controls should remain unchanged. Hopefully one of the wiring gurus on the board will chime in to confirm. They have certainly helped me.

i have seen it run both ways...with and without input to pcm. they both seem to work as engine adjusts rpm when ever ac clicks on. difference is that when signal goes into ls pcm the idle ramps before compressor comes on.when signal does not go to ls pcm compressor turns on causing rpm to drop before pcm tells engine to adjust for extra load. if you go with using signal to ls pcm you can set it up to be a safety system by installing pressure switch and having computer tell comp to shut down if pressure gets too high

I'd also make sure you have functionality in it to shut the compressor off for high rpm situations. Don't want that thing on when you're shifting at 7k...

If your running 5.3 or 6.0 truck brackets. It takes very little modification and the 94 truck a/c bracket will bolt up to the passenger side cyl head, and the belt will line up perfectly.

Hello, not sure if it's posted somewhere else but I'm trying to get the part number or belt length for your ac mock up. I'm doing the same project right now with the 94 style ac bracket on my 86 c10. Thanks a lot
