You're not gonna want to run that truck pan, it's too deep. There are a few out there that will work, the f-body being the most common.

The t5 will not take the torque. You can cruise around with it but don't get on it. I would put the auto in it and get your motor in with the tranny. then measure from the tailshaft of the tranny to the flange on the rearend. Take the stock or aluminum svo drive shaft to a local drive shaft company in any major town. In houston there are about 30 of them. give them the shaft and the measurement and they can make you the correct drive shaft for not more than $300 to $400.

I used houston drive shaft services It was 250.00 I think. Make sure the car is sitting on the ground when you measure it. Sell the T5 and get a turbo 350 trans or go with a t56 setup. If you get a long tail shaft trans your stock driveshaft will fit. The cross member works also after grinding the spot welds and notching the center section bolts. The stock V8 mustang throttle cable will work. I went with a ls1 intake at first. they are cheap and hood clearence is not an issue. you can run stock F body rad/fan set up. both can be had pretty cheap. I'm using a 255 intank pump with #6 SS braided hose to a 99+ corvette filter/regulator.
