Me and a buddy got the rear upper shock crossmember fitted in today. I need to clean the weld area and a touch here and there with the flapper wheel to clean the edges and it's ready to burn in. Finally. LOL Not the best pic in the world, but it's in.

Did some welding on the upper shock crossmember. It needs the ends welded and i'll get that when my buddy comes to help this weekend. We also got the driver side GTO seat mounted and are working on the pass. side. Plan is to get it finished this weekend also.

I'll try tomorrow. I plan on getting the pass. side done tomorrow and then i'll take pics. Nothing fancy. I bought the factory bucket floor mounts and only used the front. I made the rear 2 mounts.

More interested in just seeing how they look in the car. Friend of mine has a '69 Nova that he is pro-touring slowly and these would be a nice upgrade for him! He doesn't have the money for a blower though....hahaha

Finally got the car to the tuner Thursday. After making some preliminary tweaks he made a easy pull and while he was doing so more I noticed while idling the pass. side rear tube was starting to glow. His first remark was, I know why it's setting the cam angle 1 code now. The cam gear is wrong. I called the engine builder and he confirmed it. Long story short James@shortuning got a gear and we swapped it and started back tuning around 9pm. Finished up around 12ish. Found out also the cam is to small. It started falling off at 6100rpm. Needless to say I was in a bad mood all day. This build has been like this the whole way. He said don't worry about it right now, it's a beast I assure you. He said to go drive it and I guarantee you come back with a big grin. So me and a buddy did at 1am. We went down the road and turned around. I stopped in the middle of the road and we looked at each other like Thelma and Louise right before they went off the cliff. I said you ready, hell yeah he replied. I rolled it out and rolled into it the meth LED came on and it was like a donkey kicked us in the a??. I stopped and my buddy randy was freaking out and I was laughing my butt off at him and in disbelief of what this thing is. We both were like, lets hit it again. Needless to say, we came back with the big grins. It's got more James said. Get a cam, A2W and we'll crank it up. I think this will do for now, I replied. Now today, I talked to him and let him know those parts will be ordered as soon as I talk to Brian(tooley) and his buddy on the A2W. Everyone needs something like this for those bad days, you jump in and take a spin down the road. When that LED lights up, it's an instant smile guaranteed.

I know everyone likes numbers, but I'm not going to say at this point. It's our little secret for a bit. LOL I'm hoping to make a no time race. We have to get the suspension lined out and get it down the track.

Special thanks to Bob@brutespeed, James@shortuning, Paul@C&Rracing, Brad@Bradco, Todd&Mike@TRZMotorsports and my buddies that helped out. I'm sure I forgot someone and I apologize.

I almost forgot. I got it out yesterday and took my buddy that helped me the most on the build for a spin and one slow roll pull I felt it hesitate on the 2-3 shift and told him it hurt something. The next time I started off from a dead stop and had to go thru the gears, guess what? No second. Rolled the sprag I'm guessing. Like I said the whole build has been this way. LOL. We'll get it out and fixed ASAP and do a few other things and come back soon.

You're welcome. Glad to read you got to drive it. You'll have a lot of fun with it when you get it sorted out. Bob

I've never had anything like this before Bob and it is really crazy the power these things can make. They should be called SmileMakers, Grinners or something like that. LOL

See....told you!
Thank you for sticking with this project, man...I have given up on too many of my own projects - swaps, turbo, procharged, etc...nice to see one that highlights the good, bad and ugly and still gets to a milestone!

Now enjoy that shyt for a while!!!

Thanks guys. You are right about this build and I'm not giving up on this one. Still a lot to do but feeling it go down the road is just what I needed.

Trans is out and ready for repairs. Pulling the 3rd tomorrow. New gears and bearings are here and ready. Hope to be putting it back together next weekend and get it out a bit, even with nothing inside but seats. It's MOTORvational.

Default Headed for exhaust

Pic is as is. I still have some wire loom to add when it arrives, charger piping is going to powdercoat, overflow cans, A/C plumbing, modify driverside inner fender and a few others. Had to get make the tune date. lol

Headed for exhaust a few weeks back in this pic. Did a custom x-pipe with spintech super stock 1000 mufflers.

I'll get more pics and post later.
