Default Help? 5.3L Start-up speed

I put a 2001 cable-throttled 5.3L in my '69 Chev. 4WD a couple of months ago. It has a 700R4 trans. The engine speed at start-up is way too high - just for 3-4 seconds and then down to normal idle speed. It's bad enough during this time of year but when it turns cold, I sure don't want it revving this high first thing after it's sat all night in the cold. Can the PCM be programmed to lower the start-up speed or how do I adjust it? Thanks in advance.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't parley-voo this electronic nonsense. Anyone have an idea what drives this idle speed and how to adjust it?

Post in the PCM tuning section instead of here. It is one setting in the PCM file but I forget which one.
