You are making me jealous! I want to hear my 5.3 Nova run so bad! Keep hauling on that thing and I want some daylight videos. Good work man!
Was gonna make one today but still have to figure out what to do about the crossover steam line. Think Im gonna drill and tap the water pump and just plug it in there. Also, my friend was gonna come set the tuner up on it again and bring my welder back so I can put the steering stabilizer heim and gotta weld the bungs in the pipe for the O2 sensors on but he was putting ou fires of his own and couldnt make it. Gonna get a fuze box made so I can take the wires out of the rear window going to the battery. Lol. Glad you like the thread and will get the daytime vids up soon.

Yeah, it really took alot to put the cutting wheel to the cab. Especially being that I have a huge respect for history and the story that a classic item can tell but that being said there was no way I was going with the bobber look. I wanted to create something that had that original Rat Fink look (huge tires/ small short front wheelbase, big *** pipes). I think I acheived it so far and Im really proud to say Ive stayed motivated and done my best even though its not perfect but then again, thats why I built a Rat. Thanks for the compliments man! It really means alot to me.

So I got some cool stuff done today. Went ahead and drilled then tapped the water pump for the steam crossover. Used an NPT barbed fitting at the pump and just ran the hose under the throttle bodyand it worked great. Also installed the steering stabilizer rod bracket and bearing and then we set up a few things on the tuner. Here is some daylight vids. Sorry the quality isnt the best but I cant seem to talk Mr Lownfast into buying a damn Amdroid phone. By the way, the couple times I did hit the gas this thing stood up and ran like a beast. I was very impressed with the get up and had no clue that it would pull like that but Im looking forward to the tune!

Default Good Guys 2013

Got to take it out to Good Guys today and really get on the pedal a bit. Was unable to get it tuned the last week but still was a badass ride around the facility out there. This thing is so much fun its crazy!!! Did some sick burnouts but nobody caught them in the vids but you can see that it does have some get up and go.

Default Lonestar Round 2013 The first car show

So I've been slacking on the build and really just planning on finishing the air ride, hood, lights (getting legal for plates), gonna rebuild the front end also and got some shock mounts for the fronts as well but really just been enjoying driving and showing it off for now. Got some big a$$ mickey thomson et streets for 250 as well. Heres some picks from the show down in Austin.
