Lq4 with ls1 accessories,please help!
Lq4 with ls1 accessories,please help! I've got a lq4 block,with 04 Gto ls1 crank pulley,alternator and bracket..just bought a ls1 water pump off a member on here..when I bolt it up,the water pump pulley and tensioner sets back further then the rest of the pulleys..do I have to buy that water pump spacer kit?..because I thought the spacers kit was to run a ls1 water pump,with truck accessories?..I'm pretty confused.some please help me out on this!
Yep sounds like you have a Vette water pump and tensioner. I think the pump will be fine, you can pull the pulley out a little if you have to and you can get a f-body tensioner so it lines up.
Damn it, I think it was off a vette!..those spacers are like $80,do you think that would get the pump and tensioner out far enough?..I just don't want to mess the pump up,trying to get the pulley pulled forward.
