240 Wagon Lm7/t56 build
I probably haven't made enough progress yet to start a build thread, but whatever, i'm bored. I picked up SunnyZ's old cam/intake 5.3 for another mustang project that I decided not to do (I've built too many). Picked up this 240 wagon at the beginning of the year to DD and I fell in love with it.
*Plan
-Modded 5speed pedal assy to go hydraulic
-Narrowed 8.8 (96-00 Explorer)
-Flipped truck manifolds for single turbo passenger side mount
-Stock 14" steelies - rears widened for DR's
Some progress so far (Car is still my DD, so i'm waiting a little while longer to pull the motor)
Finished the motor mounts today. I have about $25 in them. Everything aside from the poly stuff is recycled from stuff I had lying around.

Here's the 245 next to a bobber I just finished building
Update:
Made a little progress today. Pulled out the 4 cylinder today, fitted the lm7, finished the motor mounts, and should have the crossmember finished tomorrow.

Motor is in. Mounts are finished aside from paint. Just need a bellhousing and trans to get the final fitment of everything. Also, still hunting down accessories :/
They are overkill, but better safe than sorry.
Painting mounts now (because I'm cheap and don't want to powdercoat this stuff). So i'm putting a bunch of coats of tractor enamel on them.

I bought it to DD at the beginning of the year and fell in love. They are awesome cars, and the wagons weight in at 3,0xx lbs so it's going to be a fun car.
Is it worth trying to find a cable driven lm7 harness/pcm, or should I just go ls1/fbody? Motor is going to need a tune anyway, just trying to keep costs down. I only have like $100 in the build so far.

Currently waiting on UPS man to bring me the following:
Fast rails
Fast -8an filter
Fragola -8an lines
Welded the -10an tap in the oil pan today for turbo return line. Then moved the car to my new shop. I need to pull the factory hard fuel lines out of the car tomorrow.

Pulled the hard lines out of the car today. Still trying to find a t56. I was hoping I could find a plastic mock, but they make just about every other trans but.
Waiting on a pcm, then I'll start building the harness.

Starting to look like a motor again. Picked up the pan from the welder today. $40 to have the bung welded on! :/
Pan is back on, and fast rails are mounted (no injectors yet, just wanted to look at them )

Yes, I'm on turbobricks. My build thread is on there as well - W00dst0ck.
Won't be losing much room, this engine bay is huge!
