alt. wiring i have seen some posts on wiring alts., where they got damaged
i am starting a new project, and have an alt that i think came on 05 up vettes?
#25888970 or NAPA AL8800X-it has 4 terms.-i think on my last project i used a 2000-20004 vette alt, i thought the plug had on wire, +12v trigger, and the main wire to Bat., worked fine
i wonder if this alt. is diff, i see some use a rest. or diode-at what it cost new, i dont want to kill it, lol

I have the same alternator and the same question. This is going into a '69 Camaro. The alternator came with the GM Performance Parts FEAD kit. The alternator has a 4 wire connector but the alternator only uses 3 of the four wires. I've done a search on this and am assuming I run the L terminal to a switch 12v ign source and the L terminal to the idiot light on the dash.
Can anyone confirm that this is correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just wired up my alternator. I am using A 2005-2007 Corvette alternator. The wire going to the L terminal has a 400 ohm resirtor installed, but I have heard other use a 470 ohm resistor, in line and connected it to ignition power. My alternator output is a little low at 13 volts.
