Very good info on the power steering. I was thinking of just taking it to a local hydraulic shop, but a bolt on solution is nice.

I am right there with you on trying to get an answer. When I am trying to get in touch for 2 days and never get a call back I have a problem with that. Then I got some misinformation about compatibility from them as well....maybe they misunderstood, or just didn't listen to what I was asking, but regardless it is now costing me time and money. Seemed like it was a bother to speak to me on the phone. No tracking info on the package I ordered from them....maybe good products, but lousy service.

Trying to decide on which direction to go with the transmission. I really want OD. If I get a good enough deal on a 4L60E I'll try it. Anyone run a 4L60 with a manual valve body setup?

How much power are you realistically attempting to make?

Honestly ...no idea lol. For now will just be stock motor with a cam change and possibly some head work. Might add a little nitrous as well. Later down the road will get a "built" motor.

I would just start with a stock 4L80E for like $500 at most places around here and throw in a shift kit for now. If you need more you can always get it built later, but at least you have a good base that can handle whatever you throw at it NA wise and probably even handle some nitrous. The 4L60E gets expensive in a hurry to try to make one last. Jake's builds those too, but to hold the same power you will more than likely spend a good bit more than a 4L80.

How much "massaging" does the Mustang transmission tunnel require to make room for the 4L80E?

Not a ton, and nothing that will ever be visible. Just a little clearancing around the transmission harness plug and fluid lines as mentioned above. Could be different I guess with the team z stuff I guess, but with the aje there were just those two areas.

I got the front suspension and rear finished yesterday. I still have to swap over the fuel lines and battery cable/box. I bought an a1000 and boost sensitive regulator so I'll need a few fittings to get the fuel system finished up. Ive been working 7/12's for the last few weeks. By the time I get off I only get about an hour of daylight to mess with it. I put the coil over and caster camber plates on the front last night.

Looks good!! I know what you mean about 7-12's. I'm working a month of them right now doing rescue work on a shutdown, with a 24 hour shift at the fire station mixed in every third day lol.

I'm in the game planning stags of a Lsx fox project, everything I've read on here & yellowbullet team-z is top notch, I'm curious as why your not considering team-z headers? They say their the best fitting with their k

I'm holding out for some used parts, but if not, that's exactly what I'll be going with

Still waiting to get some free time so I can drop it off to have some front frame rail work done. In the meantine, I'm gather parts lol.

I ended up finding a 2001 complete pullout 5.3L and 4L60e, with the wiring harness, computer, all the front accessories etc, from another member. A friend of mine will be up his way this weekend and picking it up for me. A couple of pics the seller snapped with his phone.

Also scored a good deal on a set of Team-Z controls arms

While I have the front end apart, I wanted to go ahead and upgrade the brakes as well. Picked up a set of 95 Mustang Spindles and rotors, along with a pair of PBR aluminum dual pistons calipers. They will all be cleaned and painted before they are installed.

Still have the Strange 10 way adjustable struts, coil-over kit, and rear Strange 10 ways to put on, along with a set of Eibach drag springs for the rear

Picked up a cheap LS1 Intake

Which actually brings be to a question. Any particular aftermarket fuel rails better than the rest? I see them on Ebay all day for less than $100/set. Was curious if those were any good or not? I'll be running them with the rest of the fuel system I already have most of.

Manafuel pump and Magnafuel dual fuel pump relay setup.

Filters

Aeromotive (from Fast system) 13101 regulator

Aeromotive (from Fast system) Y-Block

Also already has in tank pick-up with AN fittings, and braided line all the way to the motor and back to the tank.

Lookin good, man!!...I was also wondering about the El Cheapo Ebay rails too....I talked to a couple friends...They simply said, "You get what you pay for...They may leak"...hmmmmm....They told me that the stock rails will handle 800hp or more...Dunno how true that is....
