I think I would go for nonfunctional Trailblazer suspension first then stuff it with a diff and axles down the road. I bet you could get the front components pretty cheap especially if they are shared with the 2WD TBs (I have no idea though). Either way, you will have a very interesting setup when you get done.

HAHA i hear what your saying, and if i was doing this after work i would absolutely agreee..

Im having a small local custom chassis shop do the swap. Its a good friend of mine and he does all my chassis work. We had a long talk about it last night and its basically a back half. but the rear end and suspension just needs to be bolted in after mounting areas have been fabbed.

Im gonna go over there on the weekend and plasma cut out the rear of my car. and get everthing ready for him. He thinks it shouldnt take more than a week to fab a new crossmember, cradle mounts, new drive shaft, new sheet metal and gas tank. But we are gonna give it 2 weeks to be safe.

Ive been gathering all the parts needed for this for a couple months now.

The front suspension will go in at a later date, unless things go smooth with the rear, which it never will.

well the other reason for going with the camaro front suspension is Not only for the Brembo brakes, but its also the price.. I could not pass it up..

I got the front suspension and complete IRS, brakes For 1000.. Rear brembo kits cost 1400 alone.

I havent looked into it yet, but im really hoping i can find a 4wd hub that will bolt to the camaro spindles

let me know when you take her over to Allen. I'll have to make a trek to the west side and see it while she's there.

Sadly the cost for custom axles and the cost of a diff that could hold over 600hp would cost more than it would to just buy a complete bolt in 9" irs. If you plan on only having around 400hp this would work. I ended up getting a 9" and selling the IRS.

I went with a ZL1 diff and custom 1400hp rated axles to ZL1 bearings. Total cost was 1600 for both. The multi link is amazing.

BTW, they handle 700hp stock behind an auto.

Which bolt in 9" IRS did you go for?

It might have been different if i had the ZL1 diff. I had the SS diff. I am looking to end up with 7-800hp in the end with twin turbos. so i was just looking ahead. All my research came up with was 9" bolt in diffs to the camaro irs being over 4k. The cost of New wheels also was a factor. i tried to come up with wheels without killing all my budget. The other option was the 15" wheel brake conversion but again that alone was 1500. My bank roll just isnt that stacked.
