Ok im brand new to the LS motor world, im wondering what all is required to do a 99 3.8 v6 5-speed (whats in the 99 camaro) swap to a 02 LS1 and T56 6-speed in a 99 camaro? Any wiring harness, ECM, sensor issues? all knowledge of the swap would be appreciated. And what is the best cam, head, and intake combo for the 02 LS1. im running as an everyday driver, however i do want a mild cam and lots of HP and TQ. i dont want to go bankrupt.

Save your money and just buy a ls1 car, a lot of time and money is involved, useless you have sentimental with the car. It's not worth it.

exactly just buy a ls1 car. so much headache out the door. people have done it but they have spent wayyy more on the swap then if they were to buy a ls1 car in the first place.

It's actually pretty easy..about the same as an LT1 car, less wiring.
