i made my own x pipe from a magnaflow universal 3in x pipe kit
welded 3 in V band flanges to the headers and x pipe .. then a slip fit on to the borla 03 cobra IRS catback with band clamps

oh and the magnaflow x pipe was almost a perfect fit very little cutting length wise, and the spread (distance between the pipes) was a perfect match to the headers

well about the shifter, if you have ever driven a manual trans mustang you will know that the shifter is WAY to far forward from the factory.
where the T56 (98-02) lines up in the stang is actually in a good position, what i did was mark where the 2 rear most shifter bolt holes were , then drilled 2 holes in the body of the mustang with a 5/8 drill bit . next from in side the car i covered up the carpet and cut out an opening with an air saw up to the edges of the hole i drilled .. that made me a nice rounded cutout for the shifter .
the shifter base actually comes through the floor with the trans cross-member bolted up, the crossmember is from AJE , the shifter is from mcloed it is a forward offset unit (2.5 in) and that lined up perfect with the factory mustang console and shifter bezel.
to close the hole in the floor i made. i took a 1ftx1ft piece of dynomat and cut a hole in the middle to fit around the base of the shifter pivot point to seal it up.

the factory used a thin rubber grommet... and the OEM shifter has more than 3in of space on each side !!
with the hole i cut, the shifter base comes through the floor and has less than a 1/2in gap ...the dynamat will keep the heat out , any exhaust fumes etc..

the pedal assembly is a mixture of 96-04 mustang and thunder bird turbo coupe
i took the long cross shaft that would usually pull the clutch cable and switched it out with the thunder bird cross shaft worked out well
then i used a willwood master cylinder 3/4 bore with an adjustable rod end from
speed way motors that matches the thread on the master cyl.
cut a new hole in the fire wall for the master cylinder and it bolted right up the clutch pedal cross shaft
i also got a clutch line from speed way and a banjo fitting with 3 or 4 an clutch line that has the quick connect to the T56 slave cyl.

See i was gonna run a 3inch forward offset to exit in the stock location but didnt take into consideration the dead space and having to cut the tranny tunnel, good to know the 2.5 offset fit well.
