Ask and you shall receive ! first of all let me say thanks to the stainless works crew! and a huge thank you for building them in the USA! and I just want to explain what back purging is for those of you that don't know.because I believe that this can kill alot of turbo builds before they even get started!! How you ask there is a phenomenon called sugaring when welding stainless if you get it just a bit to hot it gets a burnt sugar look to the inside of the tube and even if you can't see it from the inside of a header welded up it can brake loose after any heat cycle and destroy your turbo and possibly more! thus is why the extra step in turbo headers are very important! purging the inside of the tube with argon makes the weld on the inside look like the outside!!!!! not really a big deal with a normally aspirated but a huge deal when a turbo header!! I know some of you people might give me some crap about NOT building my own headers here is why I decided to buy headers that were done already? 1st stainless is very expensive and even more so when you do not buy in volume,2nd it eats up saw blades, grinding disks because of its hardness, 3rd they are very time consuming! and there is lots more fab to be done so lets move forward with progress!!!

Looks like we might just have a dangerous disease called TURBO FEVER!

ok this was the last view of the car frame about ride height before breaking it down and sandblasting to get started with the frame modifications done. also picked up a new or old motor for the project depending on how you look at it.

I don't know what happened but time is just flying buy and we are trying to get some work done on the chevelle and here is where we are now frame is back from my friends shop called Crazy Talk Customs he did a awesome job getting it prepped for a welding party to come soon. ended up buying a frame kit from HPI. customs that we are going to modify to make it work for our project and I think you will like the ideas that are in my head .lol.also made a jig to cope some tubing with a roto broach bit on the mill and it works awesome!

after blowing everything down to get the frame sandblasted we started with a Hpi customs frame reinforcement kit and HIGHLY MODIFIED it to fit our needs and desires. here is were we are now. Please don't be shy to let me know your thoughts and comments.
