if I had some gas left in the bottle, I would make the computer mount that I need to build in my car.....but I'm out of gas and dont have the cash right now to go get more.

planning on building some sort of bracket that mounts to the passenger seat floor mount locations.....make some kind of a hold down for the laptop and something to support the screen...blah blah blah....LOL

Piddled a bit on the car today...made the line for the gas tank vent and ran it to the outside of the car, adjusted the brake pedal/master cylinder pushrod, cleaned up some wires.......

and made a Laptop stand for the car....
still have to figure out how I'm going to secure the laptop for Driving...
but for now... the main table portion is done
it bolts to the passenger seat bracket, so when I go to the track, a passenger can go with me, and I wont need to pull a seat and leave it sitting somewhere when I race.

a way to secure the laptop would be to use a flat L bracket that overlaps the area just under the keyboard on both sides, and same for the upper part above the keyboard just before the screen. They only need to overlap about half an inch or so, and have a small piece of rubber or cloth to protect the laptop. Then just figure a way to secure the bottoms side so it wont raise up on you but allow easy removal of the laptop.

I've already been in deep thought about this for quite some time...
was definitely going to do some sort of cross bar with padding on it.

Just didnt know how I was going to secure it yet and still make it easy to get in and out...

I may do a double L shape on one side so that it has a slit to go into and when I close the bar it self holds on the side closest to the seat back.

then I just need one fastener on the other side of it.maybe a thumb screw so I can tighten it and loosen it by hand...

again, its been too cold to go out in the garage and work on stuff...gotta wait for a warmer patch of weather...
its like 23*F today...and **** working in that ****..

Any concerns with the .140 head gasket? I mentioned something once about .120 to lower my compression and was told I was crazy and that I just needed to buy new heads.

nope...no concerns at all....

whoever told you that you were crazy..doesnt know what they are talking about.

changing heads woundnt get you that far....only changing pistons would...
the .140 head gasket is almost 30cc's worth of space...good luck finding heads that get you that much more space and are still worth a **** in combustion chamber design

Nice work on the blower mount.

I was told by several pro race shops to just get some .140 gaskets and that it would not be an issue with forced induction.....
they said I might be leaving some power on the table with a naturally aspirated engine because of the quench needed to cause turbulence for combustion....
but with a supercharger, it will create the turbulance on its own more than enough and that quench isnt as important on FI motors.

a few updates.....Sorry there havent been any in a while....
Made a few changes in my life....

Made a Career Change. - not going to get intro details about why on here -
in the process of the career change, I moved to Louisiana...
now working at Schexnayder Racing...wasnt able to move the car right away...but I have it here now and I've begun working on it as money permits of course.

The Boss gave me some Rims for the Car, so now I just need to Buy some rubber...

I bought a Maximum Motor Sports Steering shaft only to find out it doesnt work with my setup...
I'm going to assume its because of the Team-Z Metal Matrix K-member I bought not being exactly like the stock k-member and pushing the steering rack forward a little bit.

so I cut the Maximum Motor sports steering rack apart and just re-cut the lower DD-Shaft to a length that works on my car...

I also worked on my Headlights...
bought a nice one piece set, had to modify them slightly to fit with the intercooler....
basically had to take a hunk out of the corner of the turn signal reflector.
