I'm not sure I can say what's best but I used a summit radiator in my 78 ta ls1 swap. I've had no complaints or issues.

I'm using a 2000 f-body radiator. It will sit directly in the same vertical position as the factory style using the factory LS1 fans. I feel this saves headache on the "how to integrate" something else with the harness and PCM. However, I'm using the factory LS1 upper radiator support that tilts the radiator back like in the 4th gen so I can use the aftermarket lid. Finding a factory radiator/fan combo from a 4th gen should be easy and less money if that's a factor.

I have a mock up pick somewhere. Bear with me, I'll find it.

Everything that I've read is that they do have more cooling capacity. Mild motor, Ls style will suffice. The harness that I had made to use the the factory fans along with the PCM controlling it all just made sense and made things easier for me.
