I picked up the touring from Fortune last night. They installed the Shroeder 1.25" sway bar and re-valved my rear shocks. I don't understand shock dyno graphs but the guy that did them said he factored in the new sway bar, the angle of shocks, the spring rate etc and came up with an ideal setup. I drove it a bit last night and also drove it to work today. The new setup is absolutely spectacular and has given me a whole new level of excitement over the car. The ride is absolutely wonderful. Feels more like a factory M3/M5. Very comfortable on the highway, over dips and bumps etc. Even downtown it's a dream to drive. My new custom upper mounts should be back from fabrication in a week or so. When those are in, I will really push it through the turns but I already have pretty much zero body roll with the new sway bar. I am thoroughly impressed!!!

Sorry for the subpar cell pic but here is the beastly sway bar installed.

Yup. It's my damn parking garage. It's only hit the headers. And now the sway bar arms hit instead of that so that's good. Not to mention our office is moving in the spring so I will be in a new parking garage. If I break it, I will fix it. Not worried about it as it's a driver not a show car

I know what you are saying. Before the swap my car was low and had some of those issues, now I think the headers and bigger exhaust etc is even lower

Thank you, kind sir. It's got a fair amount of scratchs/dings/dents etc but that makes me worry a lot less about pushing it and parking it places etc. I will paint it one day but that will probably be after I run a few road courses with it

Nice!

Do you have the specs for the Schroeder setup? That looks great, good work.

I will have to get back with that info. I know it's a 1.25" bar but cannot recall the length. Josh (Jesus Freak) on this forum and bf.c suggested I get this setup as he was very happy with his. Someone else on bf.c has done the M5 sway bar flipping it to mount on the bottom of the subframe instead of the top. And using adjustable end links.

Dropped her off with my exhaust guy so he could finish up the quad stainless 3" tips. Can't wait to get some pix with those installed. Still loving the new suspension. I find myself wanting to drive it a lot more often now Snapped a few pictures today while I helped my dad pull a motor in one of his 240z's.

That is a nice tailend. The quad pipes might turn some into this guy: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/1...n_4098886.html

Cell phone shot of the tips. They are a little longer than I had hoped and for some reason, he decided to make the outers a little lower than the inners. But I think I can rotate the mufflers a hair to compensate. The sound was drastically reduced which is surprising. But I wanted it a little quieter anyway. I plan on seeing how I like it for a week or two and then may get them shortened an inch.

Those are nice. The quads give the car the full effect. Great job!

Fixed the alignment. I need to put a spacer b/t the body and bracket on the right side to drop it a bit but that's easy.

That car is sex on wheels. You hit it out of the park! And when you need to fix something on the engine it won't cost an arm and a leg like an S62. So cool

Thanks!! That was the goal. Don't get me wrong, I love an S62/M5 but the $/hp factor is far too high. Plus the sound of this motor is where it's at. I am completely blown away by how different it sounds with the tips. It must be close to 50% quieter inside and out. Which is actually a good thing b/c it was pretty ridiculous prior.

I fixed some interior rattles too. Combine that with the more subtle exhaust and the improved rear suspension and it's really becoming quite impressive on all fronts. I now have some funds to add to it and am undecided b/t the 388mm 2 piece rotor and 6 pot brakes up front (rear 360mm 2 piece 6 pot's to come early next year) or to get the entire 18 piece suspension rebuild kit and do all new control arms, tie rods, etc etc with an alignment and then do the front and rear BBK early next year. Much to ponder...
