Default LS1 manifold question

Where does the brass male hose fitting on the side of the intake manifold attach to? It is right behind the throttle body on drivers side.
Thank you for any help. Photos how you connected it would be nice.

You can use it for any other Vacumn source if you have a need. I used it for my Charcoal Canister.

But if you don't, just cap it as everyone said.

I did a LS2/Buick T type conversion, i want to vent my fuel pump/fuel tank to the motor, my stock factory vent line is in good shape, im thinking about hooking up some rubber hose from the vent tube on the fuel pump assembly hanger to the metal vent line that runs along side the fram rail to the engine bay. Now the question is where do i hook up the vent line? does it hook up directly to the engine?

They usually go through a charcoal canister. Not sure what hooking it directly to engine vacuum would do.

Yea you can't just hook the EVAP vent directly to the tank. You would be pulling a vacuum on the tank and that would be fighting the fuel pump. You really need a proper purge, vent, canister, tank pressure sensor setup to only vent the tank when the pressure goes up or down. You would be better off just venting it to atmosphere if you don't have a proper EVAP setup.

I checked my 01 SS camaro, and i see the fuel line and fuel tank vent line, they both run along up the inside fender together , one goes to the fuel rail of course, and the vent line changes to rubber hose and hooks to the E-vap solinoid , that vents/purges to the side neck of the LS6 intake, is there a charcol canster inbetween this or does the fuel tank vent directly to the intake??

IIRC the charcoal canister is back by the gas tank on the drivers side.
If you leave the purge solenoid hooked up make sure the ecu controls for it are left intact.

cool Gary do you know how the charcoal canister is hooked up between the fuel tank and the E vap?

i working on a project car LS2/4L65E, east coast novi 2000 supercharger system in a 87 Buick Ttype , i was going to try and vent the buicks fuel tank to the LS2 evap system, but i guess i have to hook up a charcoal canister inline of it,

is there any sensors or wire hook ups on the canister?

Pretty sure you would need the fuel tank pressure sensor too...

ok so i guess forget all of that, what would be the best way to just vent the fuel tank?
Should i still run a rubber hose from my grand national gas tank to the hard metal line that runs along the fram rail to the front of the car?

Not sure if you need the tank pressure sender. Check out the erod packages. I think hey come with a canister and no provision for tank pressure sender. Just looked, the erod manual connects the canister directly to the purge solenoid, no tank pressure sender. As I understand it the pressure sender is simply there to diagnose a possible evap leak.
If your canister is vented properly, you should be able to hook the proper ports to the tank and purge solenoid.
