Looks really good! It makes me really looking forward to someday soon ripping down my car and giving it the full detail restore job. I like the rear disc kit you went with as well!

You may want to consider using some heat insulation around your fuel line where it is in close proximity to the header.

I was thinking the same thing when I started laying out the fuel line. I'm looking for something now. My Wilwood D52 calipers showed up today, I'll show off a couple pics tonight

These babies are nice! A very nice upgrade from the cast iron stock type I was going to use, nicer to look at too
You can compare the Wilwoods to the stockers in the pics...

DEI and Thermotech both offer an appropriate heat sleeve. I have used it in many spots like this.

Those calipers are nice! Will the wilwoods bolt up to the factory brackets? Currently I am mounting a hydrobooster from a astro van, my engine doesnt make the vacuum needed. An upgrade on the calipers would be nice too!

If the brackets look like the ones I have then yes, the car had a new front disc brake conversion on it when I got it. AFAIK it is all a factory type disc brake setup. As seen in the last couple pics I posted the calipers are a stock D-52 type caliper/pad unit. The Wilwoods I got replace those type with a 2 piston aluminum caliper that bolts up like a stock one on stock type brackets. The caliper mounting bolt holes are 7" center to center. Post a pick of your bracket and I can give you a better idea if they will work.

I have the "Right Stuff" disc brake conversion kit. My front brakes look identical to yours. I went with that set up because it was inexpensive($1000 for 4 wheel discs complete with lines, master, booster, hardware), and I wanted to keep my factory rims to keep the sleeper image. Those wilwoods look sweet, I think I will be following your lead!

Yep, the Right Stuff uses alot of factory type stuff...the Wilwood D-52 calipers will bolt right on for use. I posted a link a couple posts ago. $374 from Summit.

I am finally at a point where I am ready to take the body back off the frame again, but thankfully for the last time. I couple weeks ago I built a couple stands to use as rotisserie bases out of 2x4's and 4x4's. I also welded up some scrap steel I had laying around to mount to the front and rear of the car body. The metal pieces I made will bolt to the front and back and then sit in a pocket on top of the wooden stands...don't laugh! I know they can support the weight easily My plan is to get the car mounted on my stands and the completely finish the underside. I have some grinding and smoothing to do. I bought some Herculiner roll on bed liner that I will put on the underside then I will epoxy prime and then paint body color base/clear. I want the underside all finished up so I can mount the body back on the frame for good!
I also got my 9" GM A body housing and axels yesterday from Quick Performance. I opted for the Moser axels and the fill/drain plugs too. It comes painted black, but I wanted something better than how it came so today I had it media blasted. Tomorrow I'll drop it off at a friends to get powder coated a satin black.

My wife and girls are in Jax Beach, FL for spring break at my wife's brothers place, so I have some uninterrupted free time to work on the car today and tomorrow. I'd like to get the body off the frame to work on the underside but all my buddies are on vacation for spring break too, so that leave no extra muscle to lift the body and get it mounted. To stay busy I started smoothing welds and applying body filler.

I'm not sure what the hells going on, but the end of this video cuts off too. After watching these two videos I now realize I suck at making videos... WTF? I'll try to do better next time...

I have been in this spot before. Wow what a lot of work! I almost forgot until I saw this. Any yes, I moved the body around by myself with the aid of my engine hoist and lots of stupidity.

I got my 9" houseing back from my friend on Monday, he did an awesome job on the powdercoat as usual. I got it installed today and also got my convertible body shell mounted on my homemade "rotisseri". Its holding the body just fine and spins around freely. Not bad for $67.33...
I have to work Wednesday and Thursday, but starting Friday I'll be going all out on getting the bottom stripped, smoothed and ready for bed liner. I'll post lots of progress pics this weekend as I get 'er done.
