Moving right along...I now have the back half underside of the body in bedliner. I spent this past weekend finishing up some welds and getting them smooth along with cleaning up the underside with a wire wheel. After wiping everything down with some cleaner I spent today rolling on the Herculiner roll on bedliner. It went on easy and covers nice. I put on two good coats of it. Tomorrow I hope to get started on the trans tunnel, I have to raise it a few inches so that the 4L80 has some breathing room...then I can finish the roll on bedliner.

Brake parts are rolling in. I didnt skimp on the brakes, need to be able to stop at good as you go. I ordered up a stainless steel brake line kit from Inline Tube. It comes with 30' of 3/16" stainless hard line which already has the ends flared w/fittings. As you can see in the pic it comes with other fittings, line clamps & etc. I also got a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve...and probably my favorite, a B&M line lock kit which will make big smokey burn outs a piece of cake AND not wear out my rear brakes.
I'll be installing a Wilwood Dynalite Pro kit on the rear which has a two piece rotor. The hat is aluminum with a 12.19" rotor size w/a 4 piston caliper. I also ordered a slick looking polished aluminum master cylinder but dont have that yet. I still need to get braided stainless steel flex hoses to connect the calipers to the hard lines. I have lots to work on & plenty of parts to install...will report back later

Default QUESTION....please advise!

With the Wilwood rear brakes I got I noticed the bolts can/could/should be wired tied...do I have to do this? I was thinking some red Loctite. Am I missing something or do the bolts have to be wired tired?....its a street car.
Need some advice on this so please advise.

Do the bolt heads have a hole through them for the wire to run? I used to do this all the time when I worked on aircraft. No hard to do you just have toget the direction right. You can tie two of them together instead of all four at once if it makes things easier. By the way I have not seen it done on a car. I would think locktite would work. They will just be harder to remove.

Slowy chipping away at getting the bottom all wrapped up. I have the transmission tunnel cut out where I need to raise it for the 4L80 and got it tacked where it will need to go. I ran out of gas for my MIG welder so I will have to wait till tomorrow to get more gas and finish it up. I also got more of the Herculiner rolled on and finshed.
I was happy to see that my new master cylinder arrived...it sure is shiny!

Finally....got the tranny tunnel raised and widened. All the Herculiner is on too! Its been raining and is kinda chilly out, plus I have to work the rest of the week, so I will have to wait till Monday to paint the underside.

Pretty sure they are meant to be wired, I think there are instructions on the wilwood site. Loctite would be skimping.

I have no problem wiring them, I just didnt know if it was required for my use(street car) or if it was a track car thing. I just figured Loctite would do the same thing by preventing the bolts from coming loose. Wired they shall be then...
