I'm in the planning stage of my next project to begin real soon.
The project is a mid-seventies Chevy pickup. It will be a daily driver and tow vehicle for my boat. I do not plan on any racing so I don't need high performance. The truck will have a 5-spd manual transmission.
My question is - Is there any reason to shy away from the LC9 (5.3L Flexfuel motor). I do not intend to change the rest of the truck to flexfuel or to use E85 fuel.
What's your opinion? Be nice!

I dont see any reason to. The harness injector connectors are different but other than that, if it's a good deal, it's a good deal! My 2 cents.

My wife said that I needed to completely remodel the house before I could go out and play!! It took that long to finish that project... can't imagine how long it will take to do the truck. ![Icon Confused](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_confused.gif)
Thanks for the input, Guys!!

If you are doing a simple swap, shouldn't take too long, took me about 4 months to collect all the parts and rewire the harness to do a N/A swap in my Chevelle. Only took about a week to put in the car and make run. Still working on the turbo setup though!
