Default 5.3 help plz
I am gonna put my 5.3 in soon I'm just needing to order motor mounts but idk which ones i need haws third gen has 2 kinds and idk which ones i need plz shed some light I'm sure I'm over thinking it and makeing it harder then what it is this is my first swap

Come on guys plz let me know which motor mounts I need I'm not 100% which ones i need and what I need there is like 3 kinds and idk if I need the clamshells or not

Is it going in a Camaro? If so the stock style is what you need, I'd upgrade to the polys though. Ls1 and all other lsx motors have the same bolt pattern for mounts.

It's going in a 91 firebird they make 3 kind of swap mounts but idk which ones i need there all different

Stock clam shells won't work, you'll need an adaptor motor mount, like sbc to ls1 style

Take a look at the stickies for more specific information, or search using "f-body motor mount adapters" you should find what you are looking for.

What are the best motor mounts to buy that will bolt to the stock k member on a 91 firebird I have seen different kinds and idk which ones i need guys

Call hawks and tell the what you are doing, they will help you to by the correct parts. Ive used alot of their stuff never had any issues.
