wiring question
wiring question I have a 99 silverado with a 4.8 4l60e, what stuff can I eliminate as I move this drivetrain to my 70 c10? i am also using a 00 camaro SS fuel tank and sending unit just an fyi...
If you dont have to pass emissions you will be able to remove the emissions, and the 4wd stuff if the harness came with it.
You should use your pnp wiring so that you can integrate your neutral safety. I suggest upgrading to the 04 and newer pigtail and switch.
If your not using the a/c you can rip that out too, even if you are going to use the A/C compressor you can rip out all the pressure switches.
There are a lot of resources on the net for what you are wanting to do, I suggest reading them all and use the whole of the information you find. Dont use just one source.
I offer a DIY kit for the members that want to modify their own harness. It comes with an assembled fuse block, obd port, instructions, and some fan leads!

harness what would you charge to rework my harness? I dont have emissions to pass, and I want my maf etc, I will be using my ac at some point but not yet, so I would need to keep the clutch wiring, It is a 4x4 harness...
