When I did turbo M52 in my E34, I ran a Cometic .14 MLS and ARP 200 studs. I used a Garrett GT3076R turbo with the TRM manifold and blow through tuning package and was making 350 RWHP/tq at 15 lbs and then I upped it to 17 for about a year but never got it back on the dyno. I figured at that point, I was making about 375. It was a fun car but not enough. Sold that to build the current project

Sounds nice. Once I get this project sorted, I may add a turbo. I did a turbo on a Toyota 4age years and years ago

They are going to be mounted on hard rubber, with the option of softer compounds if I shake my teeth loose.

Transferring lines from the mount template to the tubing. This is a great way to get more complex cuts transferred to tubing. If your cut needs to be something other than straight and square, this is the ticket.

Those complex cuts gave me some trouble at first—I ended up using a very similar method with a cereal box and scissors.

LOL. Which ones are cold welds, and how are you determining that? I will give a couple secondary welds (over the original weld) might be fat/cold, but all critical welds are hot and double filled if needed. Maybe some porosity in a few, but not enough to worry me.
I did a rough looking stitch welds on the plate so that I didn't warp them, I jumped for spot to spot as I allowed cooling in the metal. Also wanted to balance out the pull on the metal to even out tension. So you really can't go by the pictures since there is overlap and not a smooth continuous MIG bead.

One other thing, I have just learned how to take better photos of welds. Up until this weekend all my weld photos looked bad no matter how good the weld was. Notice the close up images were from my use of the Macro feature of my camera with the flash. The others without flash and slow shutter speed with wide aperture resulted in some terrible looking weld images. If you saw the welds in real life you might have a different opinion.

Great Build! I love the touring car, BTW are those hockey pucks you're using for your mounts? Friend of mine uses them for the lift on his jeep I thought he was nuts but they have worked well for 2 years of HARD wheeling

Next headers or exhaust manifold. I think I can fit long tube headers. The driver-side is very tight, but I may be able to make it work. We shall see.

Thanks Flash. I maybe able to make the long-tubes work. The biggest issue now seems to be once I get them on, will I have to remove the engine to get them off.
