Selling the pump I converted here in this thread. It hasn't ever leaked and it's my original pump from my 2000 GMC with 75k miles on it. $65 shipped. If interested, pm me. I will post this in the classifieds too at some point.

Anybody have any pulleys laying around? I need a couple. PM me. Thanks.

Advanced auto has a puller that grabs onto the ring on the snout of the pulley. I just bought an fbody pump today and we removed it right on the counter at the store. It took an impact gun to turn the shaft on the tool but it worked flawlessly and didn't harm the pulley at all.

We just used a LS1 pump and pulled the pulley slightly off the shaft for the belt to line up. So far so good.

Looks like this way would be the cheapest.

vannatta20 -- your pulley is probably only on the pump shaft by approximately 3/16"=1/4". I recommend getting a truck pulley and swap them.

As far as using a puller, not all pumps come with the groove machined into the pulley. My last few pump conversions have been welded on top like the photo but I still thread the front for the Moroso pipe. If I could only weld that good.
