I agree with ptero. 12 second car with a cage is pretty overkill imo. There are plenty of race tracks out there with no tech inspectors.

IMO I would put in a single hoop or a 4 pt cage. You can install these very "tight" to the body/roofline and it can be almost invisable from the outside of the car, not very intrusive, and most of the time far enough away from your head not to pose a threat durring the even of a crash (if its tight to the body). For me this would just be more peace of mind in the event of a rollover..

Also I wanted to throw in the you are from GA? Im sure like where I live in NC, there are several smaller, local tracks in GA where they have a "test and tune" night where any person can show up, sign a wavier, and run all night as fast as you want with no tech inspection at all! Is this safe? no. Is this an option, yes. Would I still install a hoop/4pt rollbar, yes. Just my 2cents
