Oil level block off and skip shift delete For anyone looking for a plug to block off the hole in the LS oil pans where the oil level sensor usually goes the plug listed below fits perfectly (at least in my LS2 Corvette oil pan). I removed the magnet by heating it with a propane torch for a short bit and pulling it out. It coincidentally also fits the hole left in the T56 6 speed where the skip shift solenoid usually goes. I didn't want to use a steel plug and had a hard time finding anything other than brass.

for the oil level.. I used and oil drain plug. I forget the szie, but I think it was 20mm x 1..5mm as you have found.
For the Skip shift, I was looking for something also, I found a few drain plug, but the longest one I could find with the correct threads was too short as the treaded part was set a bit deeper.
Let us know what you find that works.

You can leave them in there but i wanted a proper block off that was aluminum. The skip shift you can't leave in as the default position is "skip" and you must energize to go into second and 3rd. You can use RTV to seal the transmission with this one but I will machine a groove for an o-ring.
I have mine in place, just not plugged in. I have no problem shifting into any gear from any gear. No problem shift from 1st to 2nd at any RPM or load.
Never looked into it.. but i figured it was the other way around, had to be energized to turn on the skip shift. ?? I do know that when I looked at it. the plunger was retracted and only extened when the solenoid was activated.
