Default 6l80e problems

I have ls3 backed by a 6l80e from a 10 camaro. I am using a cut stock camaro harness. Car is in limp mode and shows 158mph on hp tuners. I have read the stock car uses the abs and body control module to control trans. I spoke with a tech today from street and performance. He says we need to run wires from obd port to tcm on trans then from tcm to ECM. He says this will work. My question is has anyone heard of this? If so any help would be great. In order to tune it we need a vehicle speed signal not sure what to do?

I think that is right. That is how I am running the data communications on my car but I do not have it up and running yet. The wires go from X1-27, X1-28 of the ECM to the TCM and pins 11 and 10. They leave the TCM on pins 13 and 14 and in my case go to the OBD port. No body control module. At the OBD port I have a 120 ohm resistor across the two wires to show a termination of the data lines. The wires in question are tan and tan/white. Again my car is not up and running but this appears the way to do it.

On a 5th gen Camaro the LS3 is tied to a manual transmission. The L99 motor uses the 6L80. Which harness do you have?

That is correct.

This diagram shows one of the two termination resistors, in the ECM.

The next diagram (missing) would show the matching termination after the FSCM and TBCM, or if lacking those two modules, the EBCM. If only running a E38 and T43 the logical place for the 2nd termination would be the OBD2 port.

Note for future readers: The 6L80/90 controller, T43, is not terminated. The 4L60E/4L80E controller, T42, is terminated.
